March's announcement of the UK's 2025 Eurovision entry was met with a surge of relief and enthusiasm as country-pop girl band Remember Monday were unveiled as Britain's hopefuls. The trio, united by their friendship, are prepped to showcase their tune What The Hell Just Happened? in the upcoming musical showdown at Basel, Switzerland come May.

Lauren Byrne, Holly-Anne Hull, and Charlotte Steele, who bonded over shared performing arts classes at Farnborough College, have been inseparable since forming the group in 2013 and have supported each other through milestones, including Holly-Anne's wedding last year where Lauren and Charlotte served as bridesmaids.

With a wealth of experience in musical theatre, the band members have graced West End stages, with Holly performing in Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera, Charlotte taking part in Mary Poppins and Lauren appearing in productions like Matilda and SIX The Musical, reports Surrey Live.

Facing competition from 36 nations, Remember Monday is set to be the first all-female ensemble to fly the flag for the UK since 1999. Self-dubbed "pop girlies with a little bit of yeehaw", they said: "We're going to be the first girlband to represent the UK since 1999, which feels like such a crazy honour.

"We're going to bring loads of fun, energy and hopefully do something that you won't have seen before on the Eurovision stage." However, what might surprise fans is that the trio previously appeared on a major televised singing competition, reaching the quarter finals of the show.

The country-pop group competed in series eight of The Voice UK, impressing judges with their rendition of Seal's Kiss From A Rose during the blind auditions, which earned them a four-chair turn and quickly went viral. They later showcased their original song, Jailbreaker, during The Knockouts, stunning viewers with their talent and creativity.

"Love it. #TheVoiceUK," while another praised the musical trio, stating: "Remember Monday singing their own song, not hiding behind someone else's success but blazing their own trail. Brilliant #TheVoiceUK".
